ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Suzy Ohannessian founded The Fifth Essence in 2021 after identifying a need for a one-stop-shop where people can go to get education, caring and supportive coaching, as well as high quality organic supplements customized for their individual needs to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.
A Boston native, Suzy combined her 20 year career in the learning and personal development space in the life sciences industry, with her infatuation for holistic wellbeing and plant medicine. After several doctors from various educational, cultural and medical backgrounds all gave her the same diagnosis and protocol, offering only surgery or prescription drugs to treat her reproductive health issues, Suzy chose a different path and dove into the science of plant medicine with a focus on cannabis. After making a few simple lifestyle changes including adding CBD to her regimen, Suzy baffled her doctors with her life altering success in relieving the majority of her issues!
Determined to give women hope and empower them with options, Suzy went public with her story in 2019 and began advocating for a holistic approach to healing and conducted educational talks in Boston as well as audiences throughout the world. She was shocked with the outpouring of support, sharing of personal stories, and inquiries for guidance and specifically, her protocol. She knew then she was meant to create something much greater than herself, and thus, The Fifth Essence was born!
Suzy has since obtained her certifications in Cannabis Horticulture and Cannabis Business from Oaksterdam University. Already equipped with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Boston University, Suzy is now in the process of obtaining her board certification in Holistic Health and Functional Medicine, is enrolled in the Biology of Trauma program, and working towards her doctorate in Naturopathic and Functional Medicine.

The Fifth Essences was founded on Suzy’s unshakeable belief in two things: that wellbeing is a present and infinite state of being, and that all universal matter and living things are connected; from the nutrients in the Earth and water to the sun and air we breathe that makes life possible. In other words, true wellbeing cannot exist in isolation, i.e. focusing on bringing only the body to good health; the mind and the spirit must also be well.
With this core foundation, The Fifth Essence, the namesake meaning ether, or the connector of the four linear elements (air, fire, earth, water), was created to bring our whole selves back into our purest form, our essence, as God created us, utilizing and connecting with nature’s resources.
